Dining Chair Reupholstery
Seats and backs recovered one chair at a time, or as a set of four, six or eight, so the pattern lines up around the table.

Dining chairs take daily meals, kids climbing up, and years of weight on the seat. The timber is often still good. What fails first is the cloth, the foam, and sometimes the webbing underneath.
Paul Windsor reupholsters dining chairs at the Wairau Valley workshop. A job can be a loose seat pad, a full seat and back, or a whole set in stripes, checks or a plain cloth. Pattern matching is done across every chair so the room looks planned.
Before any fabric goes on, he checks the joints. A wobble is cheaper to flag at the start than after the new cover is fitted. Padding is replaced when it has gone hard or thin. Webbing and springs are repaired only if they need it.
As a guide, a single dining chair seat is often in the $150–$250 range, depending on the cloth and how tired the padding is. A set of six usually costs less per chair. That is a starting point, not a fixed price — Paul quotes when he sees the chairs. More of this work is listed under furniture reupholstery.
Dining Chair Work
Seat and Back
A new seat pad, or a full seat and back recovery, depending on how the chair is built.
Padding and Webbing
Compressed foam is replaced. Webbing and springs are repaired when the seat has sagged.
Matching Sets
Stripes and checks are aligned from chair to chair so a set of six reads as one job.
Drop the Chairs at the Workshop
Bring them to Sunnynook Road for a quote on the spot. If you also need a runner or rug edged, that can be measured in the same visit.
